JOB DESCRIPTION:
SUMMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
* Inside the Value Stream Team (regional operations team) the Engineer will be required to: * Produce the design that is proprietary to Pall and protect Pall Intellectual property * Produce input to Supply Chain (technical requisitions) and Quality Control (inspection and test requirement) * Check Vendor and Customer documents * Work out and Improve design standards in order to increase engineering productivity * Provide input to Operating & Maintenance Manuals and testing protocols together with Applications and Commissioning Engineers * Correct interpretation of customer specifications and compliance with international or local standards * Produce design documents within budgeted time and costs * Notify contract changes and provide input to the Engineering Leader on cost and time impacts *MAIN DUTIES: * Implement recommendations from the Applications Engineers and produces electrical and instrumentation documents according to the project document list * Understand project requirements and process configuration to prepare piping and instrumentation diagrams. * Define and sizes equipment and instrumentation to be implemented and issues relevant datasheets * Define the utilities requirements of packages * Provide input to operating and maintenance manual * Produce technical requisitions for components to be procured by supply chain and assist Supply Chain for technical clarification and qualification of vendors * Produce FAT protocols and attend FAT upon request of Project Manager * Identify contract changes and provide input to Project Manager on cost and time impact * Provide input to quality control plan * Manage sub-contracted automated systems with vendors until delivery * Attend HAZOP/ HAZID/ SIL meetings with customer and end-users * Verify and approve vendor documents * Produce or verify as built documents * Report hours and expenses accurately on each project * Work with Applications, Control and Automation, Commissioning and Service Engineers in order to improve design according to their suggestions
QUALIFICATION:
QUALIFICATION:
* Familiar with piping and instrument diagrams & process flow diagrams (P&ID & PFD) * Capable of preparing / performing process calculations such as PSV/line sizing/hydraulics/RO etc. * Capable of selecting & providing inputs on system components (such as valves/instruments / rotary & static equipment etc.) * Knowledge on filtration/pre-separation (such as demisters) is preferred * Shall be familiar with international standards (Shell DEP/DGS/customer standards etc.) * Familiar with all components used in electrical panels and cabling * Ability to analyse and understand customer process from P&ID and PFD * Ability to interpret and prepare customer controls/ isolation and operating philosophy * Ability to understand and interpret and prepare heat & material balances as well as simulation software output * Ability to produce diagrams on Auto-cad * Familiar with technical ( control panel and their components, electrical panel, junction boxes, lighting, cables and fittings, earthing,…) and safety specifications used in the Hydrocarbon Process industry * Systematic and consistent management of engineering documents (numbering, verification, revision, release) * Systematic and consistent approach to project handling and reporting. * Practical experience in attending HAZOP/ HAZID and SIL sessions. * Minimum of B Tech in Chemical /Process Instrumentation Engineering * Practise of Autocad * 8-10 Plus years minimum with engineering companies in design office on fluid processing units * Fluent in English
